Interfaith Information
A Multicultural and Multi Faith Region
There are people from many different countries living and working in Dumfries and Annan. Some have lived here for many years and have contributed to the economic, social and cultural development of the region.
To create more friendly and welcoming communities there are several helpful groups:
Dumfries and Galloway Interfaith Group
The Interfaith group provides opportunity for people from different religions and beliefs to meet with one another and discuss topics that matter to all people. These help to develop bonds of friendship and create peaceful communities.
We also run interfaith workshops in schools and encourage young people to learn about other cultures and religions and to discuss the common links between all of us.
Our main events include celebration of the Ineternational Women’s Day in March, International Day of Peace in September, The Interfiath Week in November and participation in local events and other major events in the Interfaith calendar.
